Caron Dwyer, MA

Founder of Soul Sound, LLC

For more than 35 years, Caron Dwyer, M.A., has been a dedicated leader, educator, and healer, guiding individuals and organizations through transformation, loss, and renewal. She is the founder of Soul Sound, a practice offering grief coaching, Reiki, sound healing, and energy work to help individuals process loss, build resilience, and rediscover meaning through compassionate presence.

Caron’s professional career spans leadership in education, non-profit, and federal service. She served for 24 years with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where she led initiatives in resiliency training, community development, cultural competency, and partnership building with federal, state, and local agencies. She also founded El Puente Northwest, a consulting agency dedicated to empowering multicultural leaders and advancing equity through organizational development, leadership training, and community building. Earlier in her career, she served as a school principal, teacher, reference librarian, and director at retreat and senior living facilities, where she blended education, administration, and spiritual care.

Her extensive training includes dual master’s degrees in Educational Administration and Spirituality/Coaching, along with certifications as a Certified Grief Educator (studying under David Kessler), Reiki Master, Feng Shui Consultant, Leadership Development Coach, and Resiliency Train-the-Trainer. She is also a member of the Sound Healers Association, Reiki Healing Association, Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement, and International Reiki Association.

Caron’s passion for helping others is deeply rooted in her personal story. She has faced breast cancer, the loss of her parents, and the profound grief of losing her partner of 38 years. Despite her professional training in resiliency, she understands firsthand the deep isolation grief can bring. Through music, color, and healing arts, she found a path forward—and now dedicates her work to helping others feel less alone in their own journeys.

Her contributions have been recognized nationally and locally, including multiple awards from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, White House recognition for Faith-Based and Community Partnerships, and numerous honors for leadership, organizational innovation, and community service.

Caron believes her certifications and accolades are important, but her truest credentials come from her lived experiences with grief and loss. With deep compassion and an integrative approach, she helps others find resilience, connection, and hope.
